For the next few posts, I will start to talk about some skin products that are designed for sensitive/hypoallergenic skin type. There are many products out there, but i particularly like this range called Hada.ka from a Japanese cosmetic brand Sofina. This range is designed for girls/ladies who have UNSTABLE skin. It enhances the skin's resistance and creates healthier skin that becomes stable. The first Hada.ka product I’d like to talk about is – Deep Boost. This was said on their official website: “its formulation employs delicate astringents, a complex of skin brighteners, and anti-irritant ingredients to counteract the factors that threaten skin's softness. By helping to boost skin's natural moisture and rebuild the protective barrier, vital hydration and lipids are better preserved. With a wealth of soothing and softening ingredients that brings relief to aging places.” After cleansing, I use 2 pumps of this product with a cotton pad. I gently wipe it over my entire face, and I apply moisturiser afterwards. I suppose you can call it toner, i used to skip this process, but because i put on makeup everyday, sometimes, makeup remover or cleanser doesn’t remove all my makeup properly. After i wipe my face with Deep Boost, I can see all the makeup residue that shows up on the cotton pad! I believe this is also a major cause of my ODD pimples here and there. My skin instantly feels fresh, and my skin condition improved after 3 weeks. My skin was definitely more radiant. I’m sure there are other toners out there that does that same thing, but this is one of my favourite!

My skin is very sensitive, especially after a long haul flight. As soon as I arrived home, I began the process to rescue my skin! I used to get pimples after a flight and I figured out it was due to my clogged pores together with dehydrated skin. So I’ve developed a very effective routine for myself which helps to eliminate all these problems.
After I clean my skin with a face wash, I put a hot face towel over my face for a minute (repeat this twice). The heat from the towel helps my pores to open up and draw the impurities to the surface. While my face is still warm and moist from the face towel, I will then layer some hydrating mask over it. The mask I’ve used this time is a French brand called Dermophil Soin D’eau Spring water soothing mask, it is rich in Bagnoles de l’Orne spring water.
“As an expert in well-tolerated beauty care products, Dermophil has drawn on water’s strength and extreme purity for: its first complete line of facial care products dedicated to sensitive and reactive skins” (taken from their website)
I bought this from Hong Kong, it costs roughly €20. I don’t know if I can repurchase this in Ireland .This mask is so mild, I can even use it after sun burn. There is no fragrance from it, just a gel-cream texture. I leave the mask on for no more than ten minutes, and rinse off with luke warm water. My skin always feels as soft and moist as a baby’s afterward.5 Stars!
A few days ago, I was on a long haul flight for 14 hours. I hate flying. The coldness in the cabin dried my skin out. When my skin is dehydrated, my t-zone gets oilier than ever! (sebum secretion increased on skin surface to prevent further dryness). There are couple of products that I always bring with me when I’m travelling.
1) Makeup Remover Wipes ( for sensitive skin) I use Olay gentle cleansers wet cleansing wipes or Comodynes. They are very handy when I’m travelling, they remove all my makeup and impurities on my skin. It is so mild that I can even use it around my eye area without any stinging sensation. It doesn’t leave any oily residue behind.2) After I clean my face, I use 3-5 drops of dermalogica hydrating booster all over my face. It absorbs very quickly and my skin doesn’t feel sticky afterward. (Sorry I don't have a picture here)
3) I then seal the moisture of my skin with another dermalogica product called Intensive moisture balance. It is designed for drier skin, but this moisturiser replenishes my skin without any oiliness. Plus, I once suffered from a very bad allergy after a facial, my skin felt raw, dry and flaky. I’ve tried a lot of cream, but only this product resolved my skin problem over night. I always return to use this product when my skin condition isn’t great.
4) Blistex Internsive Moisturiser - My favourite lip cream/balm for the last ten years. It softens my chapped lips with a hint of menthol. Unlike other lip stick or lip balm, it doesn’t feel greasy.

Hi, You probably already figured out why I started this blog by looking at the picture here. This is only part of my half used/unused collection of beauty products. I was quite shocked when I saw the amount of products I purchased and the money I’ve spent on them. I don’t have perfect skin, combo/sensitive/the odd pimple, that’s why I’m always on the lookout for the HG products for my problem skin. I’d like to share my experience on some of these products I’ve used, and I hope it might be beneficial to others who are also passionate about beauty products.
