I've been reading good reviews about the Nivea Q10 range for quite a while. But this is the first ever Nivea Q10 I've tried.
I bought the light version for my combo/oily skin type.
I hated the smell, it is so strong....smell like cheap perfume! :(
I use a small amount on my face, it spreads very well!
But my skin feels oily within minutes. I've used it for 2 days as my day moisturiser, but the oilliness effect didn't improve.
Unfortunately this product is not my cup of tea! :(

I love testing new products! It's my addictions!
I don't only test expensive ones, I also love the cheap n cheerful ones too!
I came across this face mask in Lidl, it costs 2.50 euro! Yes I never thought I'll find a face mask that cheap in Europe!
It contains 60% of Aloe. The texture is light, colour is milky green. It has a slight pleasant smell.
I've tried it twice in the last 2 weeks, I haven't see any instant effect on my skin. At the same time, it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's mild and cheap, worth a try!

My Hong Kong girl friends are discussing anti-aging products with me recently. In fact, we are obsessed talking and trying different creams all the time!
I've noticed that my forehead is getting its first dry line! So I purchased Clarins Multi-active renewal serum to try it out! It claims: "restores a new brightness, youthfulness and vitality to stressed skin marked by early wrinkles."
The texture is surprising light and it penetrates into my skin really quickly. I've been using it for the past 3 weeks, I definitely see my skin is smoother, red marks (from spots) are fading away quicker.
I will continue using it and will give an update when it is finished.
BTW, I've got my eyes on Lancome Genifque already. So that might be my April purchase.
Update: I completely finished the whole tube of this serum, I even cut the tube open and used the reamaining serum. After using it for 6 weeks, my skin improved a bit, but no major change to my skin texture. It is not greasy, it has it a matt effect after appication. But I feel my moisturiser absorbed better after this serum. It's a 3/5 from me. Will I repurchase? It's pricey, probably not!
A quick updates on Dermophil Soin D’eau Spring water soothing mask which I loved.
(please check older post "Skin S.O.S" for details)
My supply is running low, so I contacted the company in France about purchasing this product in Ireland.
But they told me they only sell their products in France and Hong Kong, and they don't provide online shopping at all.
sob....
Phew!
Thought I never able to acess this account again. But found my password at the end! Yay!
New look for my blog!
New post following!
After moisturising!

The part that I neglect the most are my legs and arms. I rarely put on any cream or body oil at all! I hate the sticky feelings after I apply the cream on my body! It sticks to my clothes too! But with the extremely cold weather in Ireland, my skin is really showing signs of dehydration! See the first picture of my skin. I know, it is terrible, so dry that it itches so bad! And believe me, this is probably the only time that I will apply some cream to heal it! I have a bottle of Aveeno in my drawer for 3 years now, yes, 3 whole years! It lasts forever, well, I only use it 5 times a year! Aveeno specialise their products for dry skin. They have several cream and shower products which help to relieve itchiness and dryness of skin. The reason I like this cream is because it has nearly no fragrance at all, it is inexpensive and you can easily buy it in chemist.
This formula also contains menthol, which gives me a fresh and cooling sensation on my skin. The texture is thick, it claimed it has oats extract in the ingredients too. After I applied the cream you can see a big difference on my cracked skin! Instantly solved my dry skin problem!
I learnt during my teenage years that I need to use face scrubs every week in order to get rid of the accumulated debris on my face! I was also told that I should exfoliate before I apply any type of mask on my face to absorb the nutrients better. I love using face scrubs once or twice a week, but too much scrubbing/exfoliation can damage skin and its ph level. So I discovered NeoStrata ph4 face wash 2 years ago. It is designed for a sensitive skin type, as well as post surgery type of skin. It is an oil-free and soap-free non-drying cleanser, containing 4% Gluconolactone ( a type of AHA). It gently exfoliates the skin to thoroughly clean the skin and to remove makeup. I only use this cleanser when my skin has little bumps underneath my skin. ( a sign of congested pores which could worsen and turn into spots!). I use this cleanser after I use my daily face wash. I massage it in a circular motion with wet fingers for 3 minutes. I use it continuously for 5 days and I can see and feel those little bumps disappear! It must have something to do with AHA which stimulate the skin cell renewal, therefore speeding up the exfoliation of the dull upper layers of the skin. My skin feels soft, clean and it mainly keeps all those spots away!

La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel
This is a French brand, and it is definitely earning its reputation around the world for its famous spring water content that is found in their products. This face wash is specially designed for an oily, imperfect and intolerant skin type. It is a colourless gel and it has a very slight pleasant smell.
I put a small amount onto my hand, add water and foam it up before I apply it onto my skin. I massage the foam on my face for a minute, and remove it with lukewarm water using a face towel. It is an okay cleanser, it doesn’t remove makeup well, but it definitely gets rid of the oiliness on my t-zone. It is a bit too drying for me to use it during winter, I’d prefer something less drying.
